It has been said that youths are the hope of tomorrow. Youths of any nation are the future hope of that nation. In other words, they are the strength of that nation. Against this background, one philosopher said “Youth is a mistake, manhood a struggle, adult regret.” If any man remembers His God in his youth, his life will not be a mistake. That is why there is a place and role play for the youths in the church and in the kingdom of God.
There are many things in a local church that elders cannot handle. If youths are left to roam in the streets because they are not carried along in the church, the street will become the citadel of criminals. Also worth mention is the contributive idea of a theologian who said, “Catch them young”. Again, if we fail to teach the youths, then God’s children will perish.
